Why chunking?

Skilled typists don't type letter by letter — they group keystrokes into small motor "chunks," often at syllable boundaries, and fire each chunk as one fluid motion instead of a string of separate decisions. This is called motor chunking, and it's a big part of what separates fast, fluid typists from slow, letter-by-letter ones.

Burst mode trains raw speed and accuracy. Chunk mode trains this grouping directly — the dots between syllables (sou·th, gall·ery) show you the natural chunk boundaries, so your fingers start learning to move in those groups instead of one letter at a time.
